US T-Handle Shovel

 This entrenching tool was adopted around 1905, and was quickly improved with a backstrap to reinforce the handle attachment.  This is a reproduction of the improved model, as issued through WWI and WWII. Although specifications called for it to be painted Olive Drab, many shovels were never painted. We have left ours without paint like many originals.
