Boots are spot on great

They are okay for what they are. However, I am rather disappointment that these boot are outsourced to the United Arab Eremites. I am also disappointment that after only having them 1 week and only wearing them once, I have had 2 lace eyelets pop loose to the point that I don't think I can fix them. Meaning that I have to go to a cobbler and have them replaced. This appears to be a reoccurring issue after reading many reviews. They'll service for living history events, but probably won't hold up for major reenactments.

It is a decent quality product for the price. I also have Miltec m43 boots, The wpg product has rather thin leather. Instead, it is more comfortable to wear. My dress shoe size is 255 (us 7~7.5), and I ordered a 7. The size is just right. Thank you.

Overall I am happy with the purchase, I have a very wide foot so was kind of hit and miss with the size chart. But worked ok, the boot is well made and so far no issues.

These look exactly like the boots my Uncle Wib wore while serving with the 27th Infantry Division during WWII on Makin ("It's good we didn't land more guys or casualties would have been higher"), Saipan, and Okinawa ("Okinawa...Okinawa was the worst."). Now to the WPG US Army Roughouts. I wear a US men's size 8 shoe. As described the WPG boots are a little large on me. I lace them tight and they fit fine. The first time I laced them up one of the eyelets popped out. Fortunately, I had the tools and parts on hand to easily replace it. Next, I gave them a light treatment of Huberd's shoe grease and worked that in with a stiff brush. I appreciate the solid leather midsole paired with the rubber sole. Yesterday we hiked 4+ miles over paved roads and steep forest trails. My feet were happy throughout.

I'm a retired Marine who wore the flesh out desert boots starting in the late 80's and still were them because they are comfortable. I ordered a pair of the boonies to put with the WW2 collection. Those were so comfortable I ordered a second pair to wear every day.

I have extremely narrow feet, but was able to buy both a heel pad and a Dr. Scholls pad and my feet don''t slide around TOO much. These do look like my Dad''s roughouts he wore in the South Pacific, and while mowing the yard / painting etc. The thinner leather is more comfortable than hiking boots too.
