Bought this around a year ago. Replaced all the buttons with Waterbury Buttons as they still make buttons and have supplied them for military uniforms for over 200 years. The buttons that come with it are okay, but you’ll be happy if you put quality ones on the coat as it makes it look much better.
I’m actually taken back at how good a quality the wool is. I have some Wehrmacht Greatcoats and the wool on them are way more itchy. Wish I could buy the wool in yards as I also sew. I typically don’t write a review right away as I like to see how things hold up and this is actually a very good coat.
On a side not if you just want a great coat for the winter this would be the one. Find some plastic buttons and replace the ones on it and you’d think this was a designer coat. Sad that no one makes things like this for retail.

Jacket is good quality however the buttons are bad quality and imo will need to be replaced.

Outstanding quality! Great for Living History events AND as your daily Winter coats. Extremely close to the originals. Feels good to save your original coats for future generations to learn from. Five Stars Plus! - Ted Shealy - 2nd Armored Living History Group (Based in UK)
