Yes, the sizing is a bit off but instead of ordering a size larger where the overall fit will be baggier I opted to alter the top buttons and slide them over @ an inch or so. The fit now is snug but not binding and don't need the somewhat janky cinching straps on the sides.

I am somewhat disappointed by these shorts. I ordered them a size larger than I wear and they are still uncomfortably tight and hard to move in. I would not recommend these to anyone.
